About the author
I am a research coordinator at an international democracy assistance organization based in Washington, D.C. Prior to living in Washington, I worked as a media consultant in Cairo, Egypt, and a Democratic campaign consultant in Raleigh, North Carolina. My focus is on electoral systems, democratic transitions, political parties, and the Middle East. I hold an M.A. in democracy and governance at Georgetown University and a B.A. in political science form North Carolina State University.
